I have been keeping journals on and off since I was in 6th grade and I derive a great amount of satisfaction from doing so. To me, they are not so much a place to talk about the events of the day (I think that's boring!) as they are a place to talk about thoughts and feelings. I use journaling as a way to figure out what I think about things. I also use it as an emotional outlet when I feel like there's no where else I can go to say how I REALLY feel. (Which for me, being a very quiet and reserved person, is often).

I have two journals that I keep online. I update them whenever I feel like I have something to say. It comes out to roughly twice a week, but it varies a lot.

The first is my public journal, which is where you should start. See if you find it interesting. Not everyone will, I am sure. But if you do, I want to hear from you! So, I have set up this ingenious scheme to make you email me.

It's called...

My private journal! This one is password protected. I will give you the password if you exchange a few emails with me and tell me a bit about yourself. I talk about more personal things in this journal and I want to have some idea of who is reading it.

My email address is aweese@gmu.edu
